Attire and Weather

In keeping with the four diamond setting, please plan to wear business casual attire (slacks or skirts, but no jeans) and comfortable shoes.

Daytime temperatures are typically in the 30s or 40s. Check the weather in Denver. Denver is nicknamed the " Mile-High City," because its elevation is roughly 5,280 feet (1 mile) above sea level. (The elevation is 1655.4 m (5431 ft.), as surveyed at the Denver International Airport. There is a step outside the state capital building engraved with a mile high marker. Also, a row of seats in the upper deck of Coors Field, home of Major League Baseball's Colorado Rockies, is distinctively marked in purple (one of the team's colors) to indicate that the row is one mile above sea level. Because of the elevation, plan to pace your physical activity at first and also drink plenty of water.

Treat yourself to an exceptional hotel experience at the Grand Hyatt Denver. This Four-Diamond downtown Denver luxury hotel welcomes you with unparalleled services and gracious amenities. Relax in the city's most spacious guestrooms, with stunning views and sumptous Grand Beds. Dine on exquisite cuisine, play tennis, swim, work out on the beautiful exercise facility. The perfectly situated downtown Denver hotel gives you immediate access to all this vibrant area offer. Find out more about Denver.

The Grand Hyatt

The conference fee includes all meals, beginning with a breakfast Friday, February 11 and concluding with a breakfast Sunday, February 13. Because the conference formally begins at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 10, you will be on your own for dinner Thursday. There are restaurants located nearby. Located near the 16th Street Walking Mall, The Grand Hyatt is just steps away from a wide range of eating possibilities. Because meeting deadlines is a key trait of a professional writer, all sessions and meals will begin promptly at the scheduled time. If you are late you may miss a portion of the meal.

CWG Bookstore

Throughout the conference, you may shop from a large selection of inspirational books, Christian Writers Guild merchandise, and writing resources by WRITING for the SOUL conference faculty and other experts. Guild members receive a 20 percent discount. Books by our conference speakers and faculty will be available, as well.

Audio Recordings

I pulled out the CWG conference CDs and have been listening to them every spare moment I get! When I'm cleaning or cooking or in my car. They have truly inspired me all over again.

Also, I'm listening to stuff I had not yet listened to and am learning even more. It's awesome. Right now I'm in Brandi's class about decked out fiction and how to deepen characters' emotions.
